My Favorite Place in My School

My school is the best schools in my town. No wonder that this school always attracts new students every year. It is quite natural because the school always gets the first rank in every competition. SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung was established in 1965 on the initiative of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Karang together with the Parents and Teachers Association (POMG) as the development of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Karang which at that time was the only SMA Negeri in Tanjung Karang Teluk Betung. Then starting from August 1^st, 1965 SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung Karang legalized as high school.

SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung was first led by Mr. Drs. Hi. Tabrani Daud. At first the building of SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung Karang is located next to SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Karang, but then it exchanged with STIKMA / STMA building.

Besides the achievements in many competitions, the school facilities are also one of the factors that encourage many students want learn in this school. The school building area is around 2 hectares.

Overall, it  has 41 buildings consisting of 21 classrooms, a teacher room, a PAI laboratory, a Chemistry Laboratory, a Physic Laboratory, a Biology Laboratory, 4 toilets, a Multimedia room, residences of school staff, library, canteen, mosqoue,a administrasion  room, a basketball court, field, a security post, parking area and a Hall. 

Although it has so many buildings, there are many plants with shady trees that lined in all corner which make the air around my school become very fresh and clean. . Even in front of each classroom, there is a quite large flower garden. The school, which is the best school in this town always makes me proud. So that, My school is  green and beautiful school. 

When we enter my school, we are greeted by banner that written “Today is tommorow” in front of the white gate. Beside the gate, there is a  security post. The security post is guarded by two securities. They are in charge of maintaining security in my school.

After passing through the security post, we will pass a parking area with its size approximately 12m². The parking area can accommodate all vehicles belonging to teachers and students. Every morning the entire vehicles are parked well there.

After passing through the parking area, we’ll see the Administration room and teacher room of my school. The building is quite large. Every morning the teachers always lined up in front of this building to welcome their students. We always greet them before entering into complex of classroom. It has become a tradition in my school to honor our teachers. We consider our teacher as our parents in school who keep and educate us.

After passing that building, we will go into a building complex of classrooms and another buildings such as language laboratories, Science laboratories, an art building, a multimedia room, a library, toilets and a Hall. Almost In front of every classroom there are small flower gardens which add the beauty of my school. 

Since I was a junior high school student, I love reading very much, especially reading history and biology books. Therefore, the library is my favorite place in school. I am so lucky because in my school, SMAN 2 Bandar Lampung, there is a large library that has a collection of books which is very complete. In fact, according to my teachers, my school library is the most complete library in the city.

My school library building is very large, it is about 20 X 40 m². Inside the library, there are so many shelves of books neatly organized according to the type of the books. At the shelves, are saved hundreds of books. In the front row of the book shelves, there are rows of chairs and desks used by visitors to read or work on their assignments. It is also equipped with air conditioning so that the visitors feel comfortable to spend their hours in this room. Moreover, there are also three computers.

This school, which is the foremost school in my province, always makes me proud.
